"We began with a desire for Sicilian wines to be recognised and appreciated far beyond the island's borders. This was a challenge that required technical knowledge, intuition, ambition and perseverance. The founding of Barone Montalto S.p.A. was the realization of our goal.

The first wines to be sold abroad were given my surname, 'Montalto'. Our family coat of arms together with an image of the sun were chosen for the identity of our wines, signifying Sicilian warmth and family pride" P. Montalto Sicily is a land of sun and great tradition, from which the Montalto wines come from. The sun is a source of life for the Sicilian soil, which enjoys the perfect conditions for growing great wines.

Montalto wines were born from the Sicilian sun. Sicily is a land of great history and tradition. The wine culture on the island can be traced back to the second century, although there is also evidence of Roman and Greek settlements even before that. Such a strong tradition in wine is integral to Montalto's winemaking philosophy.

Tradition and innovation are well represented by our winemakers’ team.Our products comes straight from our love for Sicily. Our main goal is to let our wines know and be appreciated both in the other Italian regions and abroad by offering a good quality product and a unique packaging. Also the 3 liters bag in box belong to our range of products. Their request is getting more and more wider and they obtained positive comments both on the good quality of the wine and on the easy handling of the packaging.

Beside the introduction of the stelvin line with a particular design, created to meet the requirement of a consumer particularly focused on the market’s latest events. Least but not last, our “Collezione di famiglia” range is available since a while with higher quality products to satisfy the growing request of the most demanding public.
